Connecting Shopify

Getting started

Connecting Shopify

Install Tracelot from the Shopify App Store, or connect an existing account from Settings using your shop domain.

Updated 2026-09-03

Shopify is a direct channel in Tracelot. Connecting it lets Tracelot sync your warehouses, products, and orders from that store. There are two ways to connect: installing Tracelot from the Shopify App Store, or connecting a shop domain from Settings on an existing Tracelot account.

What it does

Connecting Shopify syncs your warehouses, products, and orders from that store into Tracelot, the same as any other channel. Once connected, you can assign batches to Shopify-synced products and let Tracelot allocate stock to incoming Shopify orders.

Installing from the Shopify App Store

Clicking Install on Tracelot's Shopify App Store listing sends you straight to Shopify's OAuth approval screen — there's no extra page in between. After you approve access:

  • If you don't yet have a Tracelot account, you land on a welcome screen confirming your store is connected, then continue into sign-up. The wizard skips the shop-details step and channel-picker step, since Shopify already told Tracelot which store to connect.
  • If you're already signed in to a Tracelot account, Shopify's store is attached to that account directly — no sign-up wizard. You're taken to the plan picker if billing still needs to be set up, or straight to your dashboard if it doesn't.

Note

Installed this way, billing runs through Shopify with a 30-day free trial — see Choosing a plan.

Connecting from Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Channels and click + Connect Channel (or, during sign-up, click the Shopify card under Direct Channels).
  2. Click the Shopify card.
  3. In the Connect Shopify store dialog, enter your shop domain (for example "mystore" or "mystore.myshopify.com") and click Continue.
  4. A popup opens to Shopify's authorization page. Approve access there. The popup closes automatically once the connection succeeds.

Tip

You'll find your shop domain in the address bar of your Shopify admin. If you type only the store name, Tracelot fills in ".myshopify.com" for you.

One aggregator or many direct channels — never both

Careful

Tracelot allows either one aggregator (Veeqo) or one-or-more direct channels (like Shopify), never both on the same account. If Veeqo is already connected, disconnect it first before connecting Shopify.
