Packing slips
Print a customer-facing packing slip that lists batch, lot, and expiry per line.

A packing slip is a one-page-per-order PDF you print (or save) to include in the box. It's built from Tracelot's own allocation data, so it always shows the batch and expiry that's actually shipping — not just the channel's line items.

Printing a packing slip
Click Packing slip on an order card (Allocated or Picked tab) or the printer icon on an order row (Shortfall or Completed tab). Tracelot renders the PDF in your browser and opens it in a new tab, where you can print or save it with your browser's own controls; if the new tab is blocked by a popup blocker, it downloads the PDF instead.
The button is disabled, with a tooltip explaining why, in two cases:
- Nothing to print — no items on the order are allocated to a warehouse yet.
- Multiple warehouses — the order's open allocations span more than one warehouse. Narrow the Orders page's warehouse filter to exactly one of those warehouses to enable printing a slip for that warehouse's portion of the order.
What's on it
Each order gets one page:
- A Packing Slip header with your company's name, address, phone, and email (from your account profile), plus a Code 128 barcode of the order number and the order number printed below it.
- Shipping Address, and a Billing Address column when it differs from the shipping address.
- The order date.
- A line-item table: product image (or a placeholder icon), product name and variant, SKU, and quantity.
- Under each line, one chip row per allocation: Lot (batch code), Exp (expiry date), and × quantity. A product's custom batch field is not shown on the slip.
Note
The slip only includes what physically ships from the warehouse you printed for. Shortfall lines, deallocated lines, and allocations at other warehouses are left off — the quantity shown is what's being packed in this box, not the order's original quantity. Warehouse and bin location are also omitted, since they're internal pick details rather than something the customer needs.
